Mary Nicola-Rode, RN, OCN, BSHA Mary Nicola-Rode, RN, OCN, BSHA attended Lakeland Community College where she earned her degree in Applied Science in Nursing in 1993. She worked at Lake Health (then known as Lake Hospital Systems) for 14 years. During that time she was a staff RN in the float pool and a Nursing Supervisor. For her last eight years at Lake Health she was the Clinical Coordinator for the float staff, staffing offices and nursing supervisors at Lake East and Lake West Hospitals. In 2007, she was hired at Lake Health/University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center (then known as Lake/University Ireland Cancer Center) as the Clinical Coordinator, filling in for staffing needs in all clinical nursing areas. She obtained her Oncology Certified Nurse certification in 2011.

Mary was born and raised in a small town called Sheffield Lake in Ohio, where her mother still resides. She has an older brother who lives with his family in Akron, Ohio. She currently lives in Garrettsville, Ohio and has three adult children, Christopher, Steven and Adam. Mary enjoys living in the country, fishing in Canada with her husband Robert, four-wheeling, walking in the woods and traveling.
