Christine Kolonko, Intake Coordinator

Christine Kolonko was hired at LH/UHSCC in Oct of 2010.  She started out as a Unit Clerk in Texas at Memorial Southeast Hospital in 1988.  She then became a Radiation Therapy Medical Secretary in 1994 at The Methodist Hospital in Texas until the time her family moved to Ohio in 2009.  After moving here, her husband was diagnosed with Hairy Cell Leukemia in 2010 and was treated at this facility. He received excellent care so she applied for a secretarial position and was hired as a Medical Oncology Secretary.  She then transitioned to the Medical Oncology Intake Scheduling Navigator role in 2013 and has continued to find this position fulfilling and ever growing. Cancer has impacted many of her family members and working in the Cancer Center has helped her to continue to grow in her knowledge of these diseases to help her family as well as many others along their journey.

She resides in Concord with her husband, David.  She has two children; her daughter Cassidy, who is currently in college and studying Health Care Administration, and her son, Austin, and daughter-in-law, Stephanie, who live in Texas.  Her hobbies include shopping at antique malls, reading Christian Fiction books, and going to the beach. She enjoys being an active member of her church and working with the High School Life Teen Program.

Fundraising efforts throughout the year help LH/UH Seidman Cancer Center continue to carry out our mission to provide world-class cancer care and oncology services to residents within driving distance of Mentor and Lake County.
