Julie Moran, Executive Director
My family has been deeply touched by cancer. Recently, I decided to contribute my efforts towards building a center that provided the kind of care you would want your family to receive. I joined the center as Executive Director in 2010. Since then, we have been busy expanding our infrastructure to support our patients’ needs. We have implemented spiritual care through a partnership with the community and Grace Church; strengthened our palliative care program; partnered with CWRU, Ursuline College and Lakeland to precept new nursing staff; added massage therapy services to meet our growing patient demand; and added a Licensed Social Worker to handle complex counseling needs. In addition, we have spearheaded a survivorship program to help our patients transition back to their “new normal” life. We have encouraged clinical trials and have added another research nurse so we can offer patients the convenience of a community setting and access to the latest clinical trials.
We have strengthened our commitment to quality by attaining both the Quality Oncology Practice Certification as well as American College of Radiology accreditation. We also recently submitted our proposal to be a part of the Virtual Learning Collaborative through the American Society of Clinical Oncology. I am a member of a National Quality Cancer group in addition to both University Hospitals and Lake Hospital quality committees.
We have a dynamic, nimble, talented, experienced, and dedicated team here at the center. They are the right people to give you and your family the right care at the right time. You are in the very best hands, the moment you walk through our door. You could not ask for a finer group of people to care for you and your family.
I am a graduate of Ursuline College where I obtained my BSN. I went back to school to obtain my MBA and graduated from Baldwin Wallace College. I have spent over 25 years in healthcare and am a member of the Mentor Chamber of Commerce, American Academy of Medical Administrators, Association of Community Cancer Centers, Medical Group Management Association, ASCO Practice Administrators, and Ohio MGMA. I have a wonderful husband and two awesome children. I enjoy swimming, basketball, hiking, and nature.
