Willem van Heeckeren, MD, PhD

Dr. van Heeckeren earned both his undergraduate and medical degrees from Case Western Reserve University, graduating in 2002. He then went on to do his internship and residency in Internal Medicine at University Hospitals of Cleveland. He completed his fellowship in Hematology/Oncology at University Hospitals of Cleveland in 2007. Dr. van Heeckeren also earned a doctoral degree in genetics from Harvard University. Board certified, he is one of the staff in our Medical Oncology Department, with special interests in benign hematology and hematologic malignancies.
