Patient and Family Support

In order to address the concerns and needs of patients and families, Lake Health/University Hospitals Seidman Cancer Center hires licensed social workers and provides counseling sessions for individuals and groups. Dietitians are also available to aid patients with their nutrition questions and planning.

LH/UH Seidman Cancer Center maintains a collaborative relationship with The Hospice of the Western Reserve, which provides easily accessible hospice and palliative care.

LH/UH Seidman Cancer Center also has an available Cancer Resource Center in joint efforts with the American Cancer Society to aid patients and caregivers in gathering supportive and educational information.
